Comiket weekend is done and the calendar opens up, but the next three weeks are full of fresh things: a game collab opens at Tokyo Tower tomorrow, a stage play that changes every night starts in Ueno, a beloved four-panel manga turns 40 in Shibuya, and a classic shoujo anime gets a full orchestra in Yurakucho.
ドキドキ文芸部！×東京タワー (Doki Doki Literature Club at Tokyo Tower)
Doki Doki Literature Club, the 2017 indie visual novel, gets a summer-date collab at Tokyo Tower: キミとの夏休みデート in TOKYO TOWER (“A Summer Date with You at Tokyo Tower”). It opens tomorrow, August 13, through September 2.
Dates: August 13 (Thu) to September 2 (Wed), 2026 Venue: Co・Lab-TOKYO, Tokyo Tower Foot Town 2F, store open 9:30 to 20:00 The hook: a collab ticket set pairing a Main Deck (150 m) observatory ticket with a stamp rally and mini games, sold only at the Co・Lab-TOKYO register until 19:30, no web sales. The goods use a new illustration by いよわ (Iyowa), the Vocaloid producer behind “Kyoufuu All Back.”
Some time slots need an advance numbered entry ticket (整理券) booked via the event page. Tokyo Tower is about ten minutes on foot from Kamiyacho Station (Hibiya Line) or Onarimon Station (Mita Line). The collab goods and event are at Foot Town; the Top Deck (250 m) is not part of the collab.
グノーシア ザ・ライブプレイングシアター (Gnosia: The Live Playing Theater)
Gnosia started as an indie game about a time loop on a spaceship while a shapeshifting alien hides among the crew, a werewolf-style (人狼) deduction puzzle that got a TV anime in October 2025. The stage version leans into the gimmick: the discussion scenes are fully improvised using the 人狼TLPT (Werewolf Live Playing Theater) system, and the cast draw their role cards right before each show, so every performance ends differently.

ぼのぼの展 40年のこと。 (Bonobono Exhibition: 40 Years)
Bonobono is the four-panel manga (4コマ漫画) about a slow-moving sea otter and his forest friends, by Igarashi Mikio, running since 1986, gentle and quietly funny. This show marks 40 years of the manga and 10 of the TV anime.

The floor has original cover artwork (表紙原画), four-panel manuscripts, anime and collaboration materials, a newly drawn large Shibuya-themed illustration by Igarashi himself, and photo spots with life-size figures. Weekend and holiday entry is timed, so buy the advance ticket on Lawson Ticket; weekdays are free entry in arrival order. The same venue runs the Let’s & Go 30th anniversary show until August 16, so clear both in one trip.
劇場アニメ『ベルサイユのばら』シンフォニックコンサート2026 (Rose of Versailles Symphonic Concert)
The 2025 Rose of Versailles anime film gets a symphonic concert: the Tokyo Philharmonic plays the score live while the cast sing their parts on stage. The 1972 shoujo manga about a woman raised as a soldier in pre-revolutionary France anchors the lineup: Miyuki Sawashiro as Oscar, Aya Hirano as Marie Antoinette, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as André, and Kazuki Kato as Fersen, with music by Hiroyuki Sawano and KOHTA YAMAMOTO conducted by Kaoru Wada.

How to plan the gap weeks
August 13 is the low-effort opener, and DDLC works as a weekday evening thing since the store runs to 20:00. The weekend of August 22 is Gnosia in Ueno, easy to pair with the Tokyo National Museum. From August 27, Bonobono fills the same weekend as the Madoka film opening on August 28 with a much calmer second option. September 6 closes with the concert, then the September exhibitions covered last weekend take over. Booking: the two shows need commitment, the exhibitions are flexible, and the Tokyo Tower collab sits in between.
