Summer Comiket (夏コミ Natsukomi) is the larger and more intense of the two annual Comic Market events. Held in mid-August, it combines large crowds with summer heat.

Heat Strategy
- Hydration: Bring a 1L+ water bottle. Big Sight has water fountains but they’re insufficient.
- Cooling goods: Neck coolers, handheld fans, and cooling towels help. Donki (Don Quijote) near Kasai station sells them.
- Indoor rest: The corridor between the East and West halls is the coolest indoor resting area.
- Medical tent: There’s a first aid station at the West Hall entrance. Heat stroke cases are common.
What’s Different
- More circles: Summer Comiket has ~5,000 more participating circles than winter.
- Corporate presence: More publisher booths and exclusive summer-only merchandise.
- Doujin music: Summer Comiket is the bigger event for doujin music circles.
If You Can Only Do One Day
- Day 1 (Friday): Heavy on game and mature circles
- Day 2 (Saturday): Biggest day. Most popular general circles
- Day 3 (Sunday): Music, idol, and leftover stock hunting
