August is rolling along, and a solid set of anime spots are running right now across Tokyo, from a walk-through exhibition to collab cafes and nation-wide fairs that run through the end of the month. Here’s what’s worth booking if you’re in town.
ワールドトリガー REBOOT展 (World Trigger Exhibition: REBOOT)
The World Trigger anime launches its REBOOT project with a walk-through exhibition that walks back to the very start of the story, the first stroll-type exhibition since the project was announced. For newer fans it’s a way to get caught up fast; for veterans it’s animation materials and playable areas to test how well you remember the cast.

The baseball anime’s collab cafe is back in Ikebukuro, and this time the team is dressed for the sea. New illustrations put the players in pirate-style outfits, and the menu and goods follow that look.

アニメ『僕のヒーローアカデミア』全国ご当地応援フェア (My Hero Academia Regional Support Fair)
My Hero Academia’s anime hits 10 years this season, and the anniversary fair stretches to every Animate through August 30. The gimmick is a set of 47 prefecture-themed mini-character designs of the A-class, wrapped into new goods that differ slightly per region, plus the usual character latte series (Gratte) at participating shops.

How to plan your week
World Trigger needs an advance timed-entry ticket if you want peak-weekend days. The two collab cafes are first-come booking; walk-ins exist but only give leftover seats. My Hero Academia is the easy one, no reservation at all, and it runs through the end of the month so there’s no rush. With Comiket just behind us and the late-August popups still rolling, there’s plenty of good Tokyo otaku time to spend between all four.
